Mindful emotional regulation course

This high-impact 8-week course helps participants to recognise and regulate troublesome emotional states, allowing them to become less stressed, calmer, more self-aware, and clear-headed. It empowers individuals by giving them a choice over their own thoughts, emotions and behaviour.

Many corporate clients lack an awareness of their emotional states and moods, and cannot regulate themselves when they are in the grip of an emotion or a mental bias that impairs their judgment and ability to make well-reasoned decisions. The build-up of stress, anxiety, frustration and cognitive fatigue often affects both their performance at work and their relationships at home, causing further distress.

Bearing this in mind, Shelly, one of our Occupational Psychologists, has designed a compact yet comprehensive brain-based course to raise self-awareness and lower stress levels. Harnessing current and fascinating research from the fields of neuroscience and psychology, this course takes participants on a powerful journey of self-discovery, during which they develop a rich understanding of their brains, minds, emotions and physiology, which in turn gives them greater control over their feelings, thoughts and actions. This promotes resilience, improves wellbeing, and boosts emotional intelligence.

Mindfulness sessions

Our mindfulness sessions aim to equip employees with the right tools and behaviours to sharpen focus, reduce stress, and ultimately increase performance and effectiveness.

A large body of evidence now tells us that being in a constant state of ‘autopilot’ is unhealthy for us. Mindfulness is the act of “paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally (Jon Kabat-Zinn)”.
Practicing mindfulness is now considered an important tool for improving people’s wellbeing and performance in the workplace. Our increasingly busy lives cause us to lose our ability to notice and feel the present moment, which depletes our self-control and resilience, leading to exhaustion and reduced performance in the long term. Mindfulness increases our awareness of the ‘here and now’, breaking the cycle of automatic reactions. Without it, we reduce our opportunity to see possible paths to success.
We work with individuals and teams to enable them to be more present and resilient, regardless of the level of pressure and responsibility within their roles. Using the latest brain-based research, our consultants take participants through the neuroscience behind the benefits of mindfulness meditation, and teach them techniques in which to achieve greater consciousness within their work context, even in times of great stress. This is vital for any leader, executive, or manager who is constantly faced with various problems that require decisions under pressure.
